The popular Caesar Salad was originally created by Caesar Cardini, an Italian chef in 1924. The Caesar Salad Dressing Recipe below will show you how to make a perfect dressing for this salad, and you will find it much more tastier and much better compared to most bottled dressing available on the market. I have tried this absolutely delicious recipe and loved it, and I’m sure you will like it too.

Our Caesar Salad Dressing Recipe

Making this Caesar Salad Dressing is very easy and will only take about five minutes of your time. The ingredients required are listed below.

3/4 cup of mayonnaise
1x tsp of Worcestershire
1x tbsp of lemon juice
1 tbsp of red wine vinegar
2x cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 tsp of salt
1/8 tsp of pepper
2x tbsp of Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup of milk

Making a salad dressing won’t get any easier than this! Just mix all ingredients together in a bowl and whisk together. That’s it! Your Caesar Salad Dressing is now ready!

Commercial mayonnaise usually contains high amount of fat (about 75% fat). Consider using ‘low fat’ mayonnaise, which is made from starches and cellulose gel mostly, if you want to cut down the fat and cholesterol intake.

If you want to add some extra flavor, you could try adding anchovy paste. Also, try adding an extra table spoon of lemon juice if you like having more lemon taste in your salad dressing. After you try this out, do not forget to share your thoughts and tell us about any additional ingredients you may have tried to enhance its flavor.

Do you like pasta salad? If you do, our tasty low fat pasta salad recipe is definitely for you. The ingredients we use are easily obtained from the local market, and you don’t have to be a pro cook to understand out simple step-by-step instructions when making the salad.

A little bit of information on pasta before we continue to the recipe…
We find pasta mostly in Italian dishes, but it is believed that pasta originated in China. The core ingredients for making pasta are wheat and water. Additional ingredients like vegetable extracts and eggs are also used commonly when making pasta. There are two different types of pastas (dried and fresh) available in the market. Dried pasta is what we need for our recipe below.

Ingredients for our pasta salad recipe :
3 cups of pasta. (small shell shaped ones, macaroni, farfalle or fusilli are good choices)
Enough water to boil the pasta
half a cup of carrots, peeled and grated
half a cup of frozen peas
One small tomato seeded and cut into thin slices
1 small can of tuna, well drained
1/2 cup of Fat Free Mayonnaise

Method
Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta in it until firm and tender. Rinse with cold water and drain well. Combine pasta in a large salad bowl with rest of the ingredients and toss gently. Keep in the refrigerator for at least 30 mins before serving. You can add 1/2 cup of Fat Free Mayonnaise to this if you like. Serve chilled with your choice of salad dressing.

Fruits are rich in Vitamins, minerals and fiber. A healthy fruit salad is the best way to include the awesomeness of fruit in you diet. Let us take a look at a easy to make healthy fruit salad recipe.

Our special Mixed fruit salad recipe

This is one of the best salads out there when it comes to nutrition value. The combination of fruits, makes it a very colorful and I’m sure you will love it. My mother is one of the best when it comes to making all types of mouth watering salads and this is something I learned from her recently.

Ingredients :
2 apples, peeled and cut into small square pieces.
2 peaches, peeled and cut into little pieces.
One cup of small strawberries, sliced
2 bananas, peeled and diced.
Half a cup (1/2) of seedless grapes, chopped
One cup of pineapple juice
1tp. lime juice
A little bit of white sugar, according to your taste

Add apples, peaches and banana to pineapple juice and allow the to sit in it for ten minutes. Remove apples, peaches and bananas from pineapple juice to a large serving bowl. Add strawberries, grapes and lime juice. Toss gently while adding sugar. Cover the bowl and keep in a refrigerator. Serve chilled.

There are different variations of this salad and you can experiment with different fruit types etc. If you want the salad to look nicer, instead of adding the strawberries to it and mixing, you can arrange the slices nicely around the edge of the salad bowl after the salad is done. When adding sugar, you can taste it too see if it needs more sugar or not. Some people prefer it without sugar.

A healthy fruit salad made this way has zero cholesterol in it. May contain around 150- 200 calories per serving depending on the ingredients you use. Best part is, it contains a combination of essential Vitamins and minerals your body needs. Not to forget the health benefits of dietary fiber in fruits.
