Anyone know some good alternatives to salad dressing?

I’m a Ranch dressing junkie….but of course, I’m trying to cut calories. What are some good alternatives to store-bought dressings? I love tuna salad on salads, but that’s filled with mayo. The idea of yogurt on salad kind of turns my stomach. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe something with cottage cheese or a mayo alternative to tuna salad? :o )
And nope, I know myself and I just won’t eat a salad without dressing! :o ) I can tell myself that I will, but I just know that I won’t…
Thanks guys! :o ) Does anyone have any ideas for low-calorie dressing with a little more substance? These all are great, but not very filling…any ideas on creamier substitutes, maybe with a cottage cheese variation or something along those lines??

Low Sodium Salad Dressing?

I am looking for a really low sodium salad dressing. My BP is up real high, and I know I have been eating really unhealthy. One thing that seems to affect it according to web-md type sites is sodium intake. I started looking at labels and realize that EVERYTHING seems to have a lot of sodium in it! I tend to like Thousand Island and Ranch style dressings, but most of them seem to have 10-20% DV of sodium. What is a good alternative? Or is there a place to get low sodium versions of these dressings?
I did just notice the "Spritzer" style salad dressing. 10 spritz are only 2%dv for sodium, so I am going to try a few of those. Any other "off the shelf" suggestions?

Is a salad still healthy if you eat it with ranch dressing?

ranch dressing is the ONLY salad dressing that i like! im trying to loose weight, so i figured salads are a good diet food, and i like them! but today as i was eating one, i happened to look on the back and saw that just 2 tbsps of ranch is 150 calories!!! ive tried south beach diet ranch dressing, and that tasted a little funny, so i just use hidden valley….

so since ranch has all those calories, if you eat it on a salad, is the salad still healthy and a good diet food?
please dont suggest i try using a different salad dressing, like i said…i ONLY like ranch. ive tried all the other dressings, but i ONLY like ranch…please just answer my question…
ok so far no one has answered my question…thanks for the suggestion, but PLEASE just answer my question!!!

Ideas for a "creamy" low calorie salad dressing?

Any ideas for a "creamy" low calorie salad dressing? Maybe with cottage cheese or something along those lines? Oil and vinegar just aren’t filling, and store-bought dressings (even low fat) are still full of calories (unless you get the oil and vinegar kind…which I don’t want)…they may look low calorie, but I don’t know very many people that only use a tablespoon or two of dressing, lets be real here. Thanks!
